Opened in December 2022, WKND was envisioned as a transitional space that celebrates the best from dawn till dusk, drawing inspiration from its Aussie roots. The concept was designed to serve as a welcoming environment for families, social gatherings, and even casual business meetings — a place that balances lifestyle, leisure, and functionality.

While children are thoughtfully considered in the space, WKND is not just a “kid-focused” venue. The team behind WKND put effort into creating a playful yet unobtrusive kids’ area — affectionately dubbed the “Hamster Maze” — allowing little ones to interact freely without disrupting the broader dining experience.

Guests entering WKND are greeted with an expansive, multi-zoned layout. At the front sits a kid-friendly area and bakery. Further inside, an open kitchen reveals the theatre of chefs at work, with seating thoughtfully placed to enjoy the action. Deeper still, guests discover a central bar and coffee station before emerging into a lush outdoor garden and courtyard. Depending on the time of day, visitors can enjoy a quiet morning coffee or unwind with wine and cocktails as the sun sets.

WKND proudly welcomes all — families, pet owners, caffeine lovers, brunch-goers, diners, and cocktail enthusiasts alike. The menu is available all day, accommodating everything from hearty breakfasts to indulgent dinners. Signature dishes like the Salmon Rosti are customer favourites, alongside a spread of vegetarian options, salads, house-baked breads, proteins, and desserts.

Beverage offerings range from expertly brewed coffee to smoothies, kombucha, fresh juices, craft beers, wines, and a cocktail menu that reflects the team's mixology expertise — shaped by their experience with Layla – Eatery & Bar and Summer Experiment.

Channeling the high-energy hospitality of Sydney, Melbourne, and Adelaide, WKND is a vibrant space that embraces generous portions, relaxed vibes, and genuine service. As a fresh face in Thảo Điền, WKND has quickly grown with the love and support of the local community. With over 10 years of experience working with various hotel and resort brands in Nha Trang and Phú Quốc, including Six Senses Ninh Vân Bay, Vinpearl Nha Trang, Fusion Cam Ranh, and Radisson Blu Hotel Phú Quốc, Chef Phạm Văn Nhật has now chosen Ho Chi Minh City as the next destination on his culinary journey.

Bringing with him a wealth of knowledge and expertise, he has introduced a fresh perspective to the culinary fusion at WKND Restaurant. With a passion for creating meaningful connections between food and diners, he has captivated guests through his skillful blend of ingredients from both local regions and international cuisines.
